Doug Beattie in the media
13 Nov 2009
Doug Beattie, whose Taskforce Helmand has just been published by Simon & Schuster and has extensive experience of mentoring the Afghan police, has had a busy few days discussing the shooting of the five British soldiers by a member of the ANP.
Below a ‘screen grab’ of Doug on Channel 4 news being interviewed by Jon Snow and scanned articles which Doug ‘authored’ or contributed to in a major way. From the top they are: Guardian Daily Mail Daily Mirror Sun Daily Express Scotsman
Over two days Doug’s comments appeared in 165 online articles (predominantly newspaper websites, including the national papers mentioned above, and the Telegraph and FT), not to mention in broadcast interviews on BBC Breakfast, BBC Ten O’Clock News, BBC News Channel, BBC Radio 4’s PM programme, BBC World Service, GMTV, Radio One’s Newsbeat, Five Live, ITV news and Sky News.
