Steven Tafka decided that he wanted to become an artist at the age of four. He learned to draw before he started school, confounded the expectations of his working class roots by going to art school, and went on to exhibit his work internationally. As an artist he has worked in collaboration with musicians, performers, and writers. He is an experimenter who is always looking for new ways to explore the human condition through words, sounds, objects, and images. He has lived and worked in numerous countries, and his journey recently led him to the life changing experience of working with prisoners in some of Her Majesty’s UK jails.
